I just came across another article in English trying to explain what Saudade means.
A few years back, I wrote that this painting by Almeida Júnior is the image that best summarizes what saudade means. But currently, the piece of art that best transmits what I understand as saudade, is the score written by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross for the movie Mid90’s, especially the tracks The Start of Things and Further Along.
