Condé Nast expects you to read 530+ privacy policies when visiting Wired.com

22 outubro, 2020 por Celso Bessa

Screenshot of Wired.com with a list of 533+ vendors with their privacy policies

When one enters the Wired.com website for the first time (or the first time after cleaning up cookies), a popup is shown for setting up privacy and cookies options. The list of 3rd party technologies and data services presented has 533 vendors with links to they privacy policies. Do they really expect that a user will read, analyze all these policies before giving an meaningful informed consent?

How much time would take to read all these privacy policies?
